Important Reminders

Noise Violations
There's nothing like a good night's sleep. But if we are playing our stereo or television too loud, having a party or stomping around our apartment upstairs, it can make sleep virtually impossible for our neighbors. Please abide by community policy and the Raleigh City Noise Ordinance by keeping noise to a minimum. Your neighbors will appreciate it and so will management. If you have a noise complaint, please notify the rental office. In extreme cases, you may want to call the police.

Breezeways and Stairways
Placing apartment items on the breezeway may seem like a good solution to your clutter problems, but it isn't an effective solution in the long run. First of all, cluttered breezeways present a potential danger if an emergency should occur. Cluttered breezeways are also unsightly -- they not only make your home look bad, but it makes the entire community look bad as well. We ask that you take pride in your home and keep your patio clean and tidy. Please store all bicycles inside of your apartment or underneath the breezeway stairwells. Acceptable breezeway items include: patio furniture (small chairs and tables), grills and plants. Unacceptable breezeway items include: cleaning supplies, shoes, trash, laundry, toys and things of the like. All residents who leave bags of trash on the breezeway will be fined $10 per bag. Thank you for your cooperation!

Don't Let Friends Get Towed Away!
When you invite friends to visit our community, don't forget to tell them to park in the visitor's parking lot. Our residents are our first priority, which is why we provide convenient parking for yourselves and your neighbors. If your friend's vehicle is found in one of these spaces, it could be towed! Steer your guests toward the appropriate parking location and be a pal to both your visitors and your neighbors. If your car is towed, please call Pro Tow at (919) 834-7888.

Maintenance Emergencies
When trying to identify a maintenance emergency, ask yourself: "Can it wait?" If it can, then please wait until the morning to contact the rental office. If it can't, and there is a possibility that residents may be injured or property damaged, then contact the rental office immediately. Still uncertain? Here are some examples of what would be considered an emergency: (1) An inoperable commode, (2) An overflowing commode, (3) An inoperable air conditioning or heating system during severe weather conditions, (4) An inoperable refrigerator. When making emergency maintenance calls, please use your best judgement and some common sense. We appreciate your cooperation!

Pest Control
Be careful not to let bugs "spring" out from the newly warmed earth into your home! There are some things that you can do to prevent a pest situation. Keep your cabinets, countertops and floors clear of crumbs and spills. Also, avoid leaving open containers of food sitting out. If, despite your efforts, the bugs still manage their way into your home, please don't hesitate to call the office and let us know.

Move-Out Procedures
Although we love all of our residents and want to keep you here, we understand that sometimes circumstances arise requiring a change of residence. Please don't leave until you've taken care of some important business: (1) You must give a 60-day notice prior to vacating your apartment. (2) You must make a move-out inspection appointment with the rental office. (3) Leave your apartment clean and in good repair. Deductions will be made from your security deposit for cleaning and repair beyond normal wear and tear. (4) Give us, as well as the post office, a change of address. If you don't have one yet, give us an address where we can send your deposit refund. (5) Return all pool passes, parking permits and apartment and mailbox keys to the rental office. For those of you who are leaving, we hope you have enjoyed your time here and Parkwood Village -- Best of luck in the future!
